Does your practice website pass? A 10-point check
Open your website on your phone, on mobile data, the way a new client would. Then go through this list. Everything here can be checked by looking, and most of it can be fixed in an afternoon.
When the page opens
- It loads quickly. If you find yourself waiting, so does everyone else.
- The first screen says what you do and where. "Registered massage therapy in downtown Calgary" beats "Welcome".
- The text fits the screen, with no pinching or sideways scrolling.
When they decide to contact you
- Your phone number starts a call when tapped.
- A Book button is visible without scrolling, and it goes straight to booking rather than to a contact form.
- Your address and hours are easy to find, and the same as on your Google listing.
When they compare you with someone else
- Treatments are listed with their length and price.
- It says whether you bill insurers directly, and which ones.
- Each practitioner has a name, a photo and their credentials, written the way your college requires.
When Google reads it
- Search for your business name. Your site should come up, with a title and description that make sense.

Our free website check looks at the technical side for you: your titles and descriptions, the details Google reads, your sitemap and your speed on a phone. It takes about a minute and needs no email.
